Aviation Project

With our lack of resources we made some adjustment. We didn't have the hinge gun so instead we used a box cutter to make the game inside the wood. We did this with extra so the wood wouldn't crack. Below are photos of how it came out.

Our next step was to add a tail skid. We glue in the triangular wood piece given to us. We then drill a hole inside far enough for the metal rod to go through. This is just a temporary metal rod until we make a new one.

We decided next to make the elevators work. We got the hinges provided for as and attach them to the flaps. It worked to perfection.

Now that we have the elevators working, we decided to take a brake from the rear of the plane and to attach the landing gears. The previous students working on the plane misplaced the metal piece that mounts the landing wire. That didn't stop us though. We went down to our wood shop and ask our fellow teacher, Mr. Cannito and Mr. Cabodana for help. We made a replacement piece and made two screws on each piece so that landing will stay in place. These are the results
